Con éxito defendió su tesis doctoral la candidata Melanie Oertel el día 30 de diciembre. Su investigación titulada Multivariate Standardized Indices – Application beyond drought detection for operational drought management in semi-arid regions in the Americas presenta interesantes hallazgos en la propagación de sequías en zonas semi áridas de América. El día 22 de noviembre se realizó la ceremonia de graduación de Magíster en donde 49 estudiantes recibieron sus diplomas.
